OHV Trails

Rangely is known as the ‘Tire Capital of Colorado’ because of the town’s love for all things off-road and OHV. OHVs are allowed to go anywhere in town except the highway (note: crossing the highway is ok).

The town also boasts Colorado’s only all-natural rock crawling park, which is located on the south end of town. People from all over the country travel to Rangely to experience this beautiful rock crawling park. The Rangely Rock Crawling Park also hosts the ROAR OHV Rally, an annual event held throughout town from April 28 – May 1.

Other nearby OHV locations include:

  • BLM Lands: It’s an outdoor playground with the hundreds of square miles that surround Rangely.
  • The Flat Tops: Located just 75 minutes east of Rangely, The Flap Tops are home to endless miles of OHV trails throughout some of Colorado’s most picturesque mountains, lakes, streams, and valleys. Keep in mind that the nearby Flat Tops Wilderness Area is designated as a non-motorized section of the White River National Forest.
